Senses: Sight is important so the swimmers can see what moves they are doing. Hearing is important because the swimmers need to listen to the music.
Muscle Groups ( describe if they should be fast and or strong): All muscle groups are important to be successful in synchronized swimming. Synchronized swimmers have to be strong and have to have good biceps and triceps in order to lift up other players and maintain their balance underwater. They have to be fast so they do not fall behind any of their teammates in the routine. The swimmers have to use their quadrants, hamstrings, and gastrocnemius/soleus to perform the different moves and to swim from place to place. They use their abdominals and their latisimus dorsi to stretch in different positions.
Mental focus skills: The swimmers have to be mentally focused so they can maintain their balance underwater while performing their technique at the exact same time as their teammates. 2.Dietary Requirements:

The Dietary Requirements for synchronized swimming include eating regular-sized meals one or two hours before the competition. If you too big or small of a meal you will feel either hungry or too full to focus on the practice. Synchronized swimmers should eat food that is rich in carbohydrates such as fruit, a sports drink or some crackers because the swimmer is given quick energy and it is easily digested. 3. 3 most common injuries:
Injury 1: Knee Pain
Injury 2: Shoulder Pain
Injury 3: Swimmer's Ear 4. How do these apply to your sport?
Physical: Synchronized swimmers become physically fit when they move their arms and legs at different times.
Mental/Emotional: The swimmers build self-esteem and confidence and the swimmers are pushed hard to do the best they can.
Social: Synchronized swimmers become very close to their team and they make new friends.
Intellectual: The swimmers build strategies and come up with new techniques which help them in the competition.
Spiritual: Synchronized swimmers probably pray that they can do the best they can and so no one is hurt in the competition. 5. List three athletes in the history of your sport with their medals won and the years they won them.

It is the most important sporting event in which many people from around the world participate. Many people enjoy the Olympics every four years because the modern Olympics provide entertainment, and because people enjoy watching exciting events such as the Luge.
First, the modern Olympics entertain millions of people every four years. The first modern Olympics began in Athens, Greece of 1896 (answers). Only 13 countries participated, represented by 235 male athletes overall (answers). The modern Olympics were reinstated after 1,500 years (history). The reason the Olympics were reinstated is because the Olympics were banned by Roman Emperor Theodosius I (history). The awards that were given to the person in first place in 1896 were a silver medal, a crown of olive branches, and a certificate for first place (pe04). King George was the person who distributed the awards at a ceremony (pe04). The modern Olympics have changed since the beginning in 1896.
Finally, many people find the Luge entertaining. Tony Benshoof from the United States holds the all-time record for the Luge at 86.6 mph (qsports). He has 5 gold, 8 silver, and 12 bronze medals in men’s singles (qsports). The Germans are predicted to win the gold in the Luge this year (dummies). Germany, Austria, Italy, Russia, and the US are the only five countries that have medaled in the Luge (dummies). The four sites in which the US practices the Luge are Colorado Springs, CO; Chula Vista, CA; Lake Placid, NY; and the campus of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI (usaluge). The Luge is practiced in Lake Placid because the US Olympic Training Center (USOTC) is headquartered there (usaluge). Many people find the Luge fun to watch because of the great speeds and the excitement of sledding as a child.
In conclusion, the Olympics are a major sporting event that has different types of events. Only the best people with skill and talent are able to win the gold medals. People like watching and participating in the summer and winter Olympics every four years because the modern Olympics grants amusement, and because people take pleasure in watching the winter sports such as the Luge.
